Select the pattern
When a pattern is chosen, only its
applicable parameter controls are visible. For example, below you'll find all 6 deform control
sliders for the 'Twirling spiral' pattern: Shape control Deform control
-
The pull-down box called 'Pattern' is used to
select the pattern of choice. The 'Paper'
value determines the print size with
the indicated metric paper format (A6 .. A1). The paper size default value is A5. Be aware: the
larger the paper the more time is needed to create the pattern. On older systems
this can take several seconds to complete.
The amount and type of
controls differ per pattern. Each of these parameters
('P1..P6') is hopefully self explaining when changing its value. The user
is encouraged to play with these controls and see what is changed. In the
following table an overview of all the controls are given. Only the
patterns in this table can be used for video scripting, as well as
the two patterns 'Harmonograph'
and 'Pantograph'.

Except for P4 for the Tubes ('Apply shade') all parameters can be varied via the scripting functionality. The shade is applied by a tickbox and is explained in detail here.
* This control is only visible when
ticking the checkbox 'Apply shade'
** This control is not a slider control but a checkbox, and is only
applied in video scripts
*** This slider control is not part of 'Deform control' but of 'Pattern
options'
